Nostalgia
Been a minute, but the music never loses its effect on me. More lost school - 90’s music.

Since i’m off the decks (have been for a while - life beckons), the Groove Squad is officially my source for music. Jeff, of the Groove Squad’s deejays tells me they are currently recruiting female deejays. Since I happen to be a recipient of some of the sick mixxes these guys put out, i’m also sending word out. Their email is groovesquaddjs@yahoo.com. Going forward, I will showcase some of what I consider undiscovered talent out in the diaspora in upcoming podcasts.
In the meantime, here is some lost school - codeword for 90’s hip hop featuring the best of Ginuwine, Faith Evans, Raphael Saadiq, Elusion, Tony Rich, Total, Andrea Martin, 702, MJB, Big Pun, Joe plus more at high quality premium sound. Two (2) full length mixxes for whoever correctly identifies the name of the artist who sang the last song in this mixx.
My apologies to Bomseh, who has requested a ‘mugithi’ mixx. I have tried unsuccesfully to get my hands on a decent amount of this music. Rest assured though, I have people headed to the motherland who promise to get me boatload. If anyone reading this can help out, please let me know. Magaidiafrika@Yahoo.com.
Otherwise enjoy.

Music with a message ladies and gentlemen, the smooth sounds of reggae. I still maintain that reggae sounds best, live and not sampled as we have become accustomed to. I will buy the CD, but the concert is the real treat. Thanks to the groove squad - here’s the reggae session. These guyz are just too good, enjoy the sounds of Beres Hammond, TOK, Wayne Wonder, Anthony B,Richie Spice, Cocoa Tea among many others !

Tanzanians make beautiful music and this is certainly no indictment on Kenyan or Ugandan music, but Bongo is certainly a pleasure to listen to. This time around I got a request from Mwakhulegwa, I admit I didn’t have that much bongo but with the help of my boy marazzmataz and Ntwiga’s massive collection, which he was kind enough to share with me, coupled with the skills of the ever-impressive groove squad, we were able to make a mix truly like no other!
This is also for L - you know yourself - I’m still around. This mixx is for you since you complained i’ve gone on for too long in between dropping new mixxes.
